About Weiss Baseball

The mission of Weiss Baseball is to provide baseball instruction to youth baseball players who are aiming to improve their baseball skills.

Weiss Baseball camps offer overall skill development and instruction in hitting, bunting, pitching, base running, fielding, and throwing mechanics. Weiss Baseball camps also offers development/instruction for those players who are going into their transition year from Little League fields to 90’ fields.

About Brent Weiss


Brent Weiss is the lead instructor/camp director for Weiss Baseball.  He is originally from New York and went to St. Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey where he was an All-State Baseball player. In 2005, he was drafted out of high school by the Colorado Rockies in the MLB Draft. That summer, Brent played for the Bayside Yankees, which is one of the best amateur travel baseball organizations in the country. That team went on to win the NABF National Championship and Brent was a member of the 2005 NABF All-Tournament Team.


After high school, Brent decided to go to George Mason University to get his bachelor’s degree in History and continue his baseball career at the collegiate level. At George Mason University, Brent was a 4-year starter at shortstop for the Patriots. During his sophomore year, the Patriots took on #1 Clemson to open up the season and upset the Tigers in a 5-1 contest. That summer, Brent played for the Wilmington Sharks in the Coastal Plain League, which is a top summer collegiate baseball league. Brent was named to play in the 2007 CPL All-Star Game. During his senior season at GMU (2009), the Patriots won an at-large bid to play in a Regional and set the school record for wins in a season (42).

Coaching EXPerience

After graduating from GMU, Brent went straight into coaching. He was the Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Oakton High School in Vienna, Virginia for 4 years. In the summer of 2013, he was the Infield Coach for the Herndon Braves in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League. Over the years, Brent has coached for numerous youth travel baseball organizations, including the DeMarini Virginia Stars, FCA Power, and Metro Senators. He is currently in his 3rd season as the Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia.

Personal Life

Brent is a Social Studies teacher at Oakton High School. He lives in Springfield, VA with his wife Nora and their son Brooks and their daughter Ella.
